Security overview

Broadly speaking, security means what various users can see and what actions they can take.

Website administrators can manage most of this. Some of it requires SquadFusion Support to implement.

Here are some of the items website administrators can do:

  • Assign users to all roles other than the very top administrative role.
  • Manage which fields are viewable and updatable on participant profiles.
  • Manage which types of events users can add, edit, and view.
  • Manage which types of events users can RSVP to and also which types of events they can view RSVPs from other users.
  • Manage the pages available for viewing in the Organization Home menu.

Here are some items which require SquadFusion Support to implement:

  • Assign users to the top level administrator role.
  • Enable additional organization-level roles for use throughout the system.
  • Manage access to menus and pages outside of Organization Home.
  • Manage access to actions available on pages with actions (such as the ability to send bulk messages, issue refunds, etc.).
