This article explains how to have squads appear in Organization Home, the main part of your website.
Note: this article refers to organization, programs and squads. Your organization may use different terminology for those items.
At a high level, you must do two things:
- Publish your squads
- Add their program to a content item in a menu tab
Publishing Squads
This is done in the Programs menu. Only published squads will appear in Organization Home. In order to publish a squad, everything above it in the program must be published as well.
Keep in mind publishing squads allows anyone on the rosters to start using the squad pages (see the rosters, calendars, etc.). Also, system notifications get sent for published squads. So make sure the timing is appropriate to publish them.
Adding Programs to Menu Tabs
In the Organization Content menu, you use Menu Tabs to organize the content available in Organization Home. Menu tabs have one or more content items.
Content items can be of multiple types. To get squads to appear, the type of content item you want is Program.
You can add programs still in Draft mode, but they will not actually appear on Organization Home until you Publish them.
The system shows additional information on Program pages than just the list of squads. Notably, we show the rich text content from the program overview as well as standings if the program is defined to use standings.
